Rover Solar Dog Light

My brief was to create a 3D printed solar light. I chose to create a dog light that was attached to a harness because there was a gap in the market for such a product. Many dog lights on the market were battery-operated, cheap and attached to a dog collar, not a harness. My target buyer was a young couple who loved nice things and accessories. I created a blue foam model choosing one, which became my final concept. I then designed a CAD prototype on Solidworks, 3D printed the model to test if the components fitted into the light compartment and checked if both components fitted together. I rendered the light using Keyshot and created a Rover advertising poster with a tag line “Wander the night with light”. I also created packaging with illustrated dogs and multiple colours so my target demographic could pick and choose which light and harness they wanted.
